Stepgaard is an informal contemporary music series in New York City. All concerts are free and take place in the home of Tristan Perich and Lesley Flanigan, 117 East 24th Street, apartment 6A (between Park and Lex, near the 23rd St stops on the 6, R and F trains, and Union Square). Events begin with a party at 8pm (please bring a drink), with performances around 11pm. Please understand this is a private residence and space may be limited. U.K. and Ireland. March 24, 2011: Travis Weller Texas composer, performer, and instrument builder Travis Weller will present two contrasting works on this program. He will perform a newly composed solo piece for his custom built high-tension music wire instrument "The Owl" with live electronics. Also on the program is the Cadillac Moon Quartet performing his 2008 chamber piece "Maritime Suite" for violin, cello, flute, and percussion. More information...

December 31, 2010: Natacha Diels Flautist and composer Natacha Diels presents a collection of her solo efforts from the last five years: Symbiosis I, for tape and lasers; Block.flt, by Andrew Greenwald, for solo flute; and ether, for solo internally amplified piccolo and tape. These works represent Natacha's endeavors with microfying and exploding instrumental sound through composition and performance. More information...
